Jody Hammett, PhD
Founder

Jody focuses on the people in your organization, realizing that maximizing each individual’s potential is the key to the success of an organization as a whole. This starts with hiring the right people for the job and matching existing employees’ strengths and skill sets to company needs. It continues with a commitment to lifelong learning and utilizing training to develop employees further while recognizing that the company culture and leadership skills of management ultimately shape the outcome of talent development and the safety of employees.

Jody earned his PhD in Human Resource Education and Workforce Development from Louisiana State University, as well as an undergraduate degree in psychology. His experience includes 13 years of higher education administration, 17 years of teaching in higher education, and seven years of retail management. He also has 10 years of human resource and safety management, where his team achieved top honors in safety programming and performance in multiple cities across the Gulf Coast.

Jody is a Faculty Member for the School of Leadership and Human Resource Development at LSU, is Past President of the Baton Rouge Society for Human Resource Management and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Betsy Garrison, PhD
Program Developer and Evaluator, Educator, Researcher, Trainer

Dr. Betsy Garrison brings her 40+ years of expertise to new audiences outside of academia. Among her areas of expertise are diversity, equity, inclusion, and health and well-being, including being a certified instructor in Mental Health First Aid and social science research, including statistical analyses. Garrison is currently a Professor of Human Development and Family Sciences in the School of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Arkansas and its former Director. After growing up in Napa, California, she earned her bachelor's degree at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, and her MS and Ph.D. degrees at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. 

Dr. Garrison retired from Louisiana State University in 2014 after a 20-year career there as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and finally Associate Dean and Professor. She is an author of more than 50 publications,has taught more than 20 different courses at all levels,  and is considered an expert in social science survey research and data analyses. Garrison prides herself in customizing all of her efforts to exceed the expectations of her students, colleagues, program participants, clients, and stakeholders for the workplace of today and tomorrow.

Darren Gueho
Safety Consultant

Darren Gueho is an Occupational Health & Safety Professional with over 20 years of experience working in the petrochemical industry. Specializing in the development and maintenance of safety management systems (SMS), Darren has had the pleasure of working with several Fortune 500 companies, including ExxonMobil, Dow Chemical, and Honeywell, to help strengthen their respective safety management systems. In 2021 Darren started his own company, Workplace Assurance Resources, and immediately partnered with the Hammett Resources Team.
